Macbeth’s Bothy

Sitting at the foot of historic Dunsinane Hill, Macbeth’s bothy has been designed to transport you into a world far away from everyday life. Stepping through the theatrically designed porch you move into a perfectly formed kitchen with everything you need for a leisurely stay, whether short or long. In the central living area you will find a sumptuous kingsized bed and living area to rest and relax. There is also an en-suite shower room for freshening up after a day in nature. The large french doors lead to a fairytale outdoor bath house, perfect for a long soak, no matter what the weather. A wander through the field gate leads you to a quaint little sundowner spot with a fire pit and deck chairs to while away the evening.

What to do

A stay at Dunsinnan is a real rural retreat, a chance to slow down, immerse yourself in nature and soak up the silence. So if you want to do nothing, then you should! But if action and adventure is your thing, we've got you covered.

sustainability

Minimising our carbon footprint.

Our bothy has been restored to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. We have installed an air-source heat pump as well as an EV charger, to encourage more sustainable travel and of course welcome (and encourage!) cyclists too.

The interiors and finishings in all our properties are carefully selected to ensure they are as local as possible with an equally sustainable ethos. From local artists who created the stunning crockery and artwork to nearby sheep farmers providing handmade woollen throws.

In addition, the estate’s woodlands help to capture around 2000 tonnes of carbon every year, over twice the amount generated, ensuring we are a carbon negative organisation.
